A look back on comic prices (and Intro to Dollar Comics)

Ahhh...a more innocent time when the publishers seemed to care about how much we, the readers, paid for comics... cloud9.gif

 

She did skip over a point though. When the mags were raising their prices and the comics continued at 10 cents, DC was actually lowering their page count to offset the cost. A minor quibble though as the tone of the message is one that's sorely missed today. She is practically apologizing for the price rise.

 

Ask the publishers today about rising prices and you're likely to get shrugs as well as a statement outlining if you don't buy the comic it gets canceled. Almost as if it our fault they had to raise the price.

 

Which answer is likely to foster reader goodwill?
