Question on storing your CGC books

13 posts in this topic

I assume that when you are storing a bunch of CGC books together, there are 4 main ways to do so.

1. End-Up so that the top of the book is facing the ceiling. (This is basically the way you store books in a "made-for-slabbed-comics" box.

2. Stacked like (forgive the analogy) pancakes. One on top of the other.

3. Comic-spine-side down, facing the floor.

4. Comic-spine-side up facing the ceiling.

Which way do *you* store your slabbed comics? And would any of these be detremental to the condition?

2. Stacked like (forgive the analogy) pancakes. One on top of the other.

Wrapped in the polystyrene packing sleeve with thick cardboard between issues - 6 to a box / 15 boxes / 90 books.

What happens when you want to look at a book on the bottom of the stack? 893scratchchin-thumb.gif

I store them Upright, with the label facing towards the ceiling. They stand in a closet (I've got approximately 150 CGC books).

The main problem storing that way is that you can't see the CGC stickers (on top of the case).

And the closet I use is not deep enough to store the CGC books with the spine down, facing the floor. yeahok.gif
