picked this up - artwork on cover is so awesome however the entire cover is split and the front is barely hanging on the bottom staple

I honestly don't know how CGC would grade this book but here's my take:

 

I think the book is about a 4.5 if the covers were attached completely. With the front cover detached at one staple and the back cover completely detached from the staples and the front cover I would grade the book 2.5 equivalent to the cover detached at staples. Any one else might have a totally different opinion.

 

Great cover regardless of the issues.

Fantastic eye-appeal but a completely split spine is a 1.0 book, maybe 1.5 at best, even if presentation makes it more desirable than some 2.0s out there.

thanks guys - I just love this cover. I went to buy different books but when I saw the colors, I just couldn't leave it.

 

I'll probably just keep it as is for now
