Early '50's War Comic

I remember seeing a war comic on the newsstand, I believe somewhere around 1951-53, with the cover image picturing a soldier trying to light a cigarette with two completely wrapped bandaged hands.

 

I've always wondered since, what book that may have been. It's not displayed in Gerber.

Very reasonable guess and very probably the right cover.

 

I'll mention Two-Fisted Tales # 30 as another one to check just to make sure.

I believe the cover I saw was published a year or more earlier. Both of his hands were completely bandaged, he was facing front and trying to light a cigarette.
