Ahhh, 1979 Marvel...

 

When John Byrne was drawing the X-Men, the Avengers, AND the FF, all at the same time.

 

I mean, seriously, was there ever a better time to be a Marvel fan...?

DC really seemed to take a turn for the worse from about 1978 but I agree that Marvel around this time was great, largely due to the books RMA mentions. Marvel lost me right around the time Byrne left the X Men.
