You guys need to quit trying to cause drama. If a deal was made and agreed on by both parties before an I'll take it in the thread. Then the book should no longer available. You can't expect sellers to update the threads instantly.

 

This issue keeps coming up, but it really seems like common sense to me.

 

An "i'll take i" in the thread should trump any negotiations that aren't settled to the fullest extent. Not a deal where terms have been agreed upon by both parties.

I disagree. The point of a seller saying first "I'll take it" in the thread trumps any and all PM's is to move fence sitters and deter lengthy haggling in PM's.

 

I think joey, per the explicit terms of the listing, should get the book. But obviously the seller is free to do whatever he wants.

+1 no brainer, don't even understand what the others are talking about, if the deal is agreed upon you don't have to post it in the thread, i was looking at this too and if i was in a buying mode would have snagged it, great buy either way

By these rules, as a seller I can agree to a deal via PM and just wait to post "SOLD" for a few hours and hope someone hits the BIN at a better price.

If I send you a counter offer as a seller, and you know the rules, it's up to YOU to post the "I'll take it" IN the sales thread.

 

BTW - Mike can verify (if hes not too upset with this) that his deal would have put more $ in my pocket.

You seem to be mis reading the situation. It had nothing to do with seller marking it sold. Had Transplant posted :takeit: per PM at 4:18pm he wins the book, even though roulette44 posted an unconditional :takeit: in thread. The deal wasn't closed yet even though transplant and dan may have reached an agreement.
