My first "OA" pickup - Harley Quinn sketch cover

26 posts in this topic

Picked up a blank HQ sketch cover somewhat by random one day - then had an opportunity jump out to get a commissioned OA cover done - some will probably know right away - but I covered up the artist name in case anyone wanted to guess...

I love the result - fully inked. Will be heading out to CGC with my next submission....

Do you know how it works with SS books?

Yes - my understanding is that I cannot get a yellow label for this - so it will be a green.

No big deal for me - I m looking to preserve/display it - not resell it.

lol im just glad the OP is knowledgeable and wasn't expecting a yellow label.

Been awhile since a newbie has said something intelligent

:headbang:

yay!!! not a stereotypical newbie!!!

(odds are I am a lot older than a lot of the newer guys)

So - anyone have a guess as to the artist? - he has worked for one of the big two in the past.....

I try to be realistic - I am selling some - but really with the goal of increasing my set of "key" books (what I consider key anyway). Some I do slab with the intent to sell - others not so much. Many just strike me as cool - like the recent bombshell covers - so trying to get a full set of 9.8s together.

no idea who the artist is.

yea - he is a more obscure one - I have seen a couple of reference to his name on the boards - but not a mainstream name -

did work for DC - and had some of his own books-

hint - NSFW

Not Howard - it is a very off the beaten path character (has like a 6 issue run a while back) -

the artist did some looney tunes for DC (which is wild if you see what comes up first when you google him). Also some other funny and cool DC stuff.
