PGM pair of Golden Age Caps

8 posts in this topic

I’ve purchased a couple Caps and, being pretty much a silver-age collector, would like some GA experience to grade them. Anything you want to know that’s not in the images or notes, please ask.

Thank you all very much!

Cap 60 – slight spine roll, manufactured with a single (clean) staple, page quality is OW-W. (And some of that shadow on the last page is my head, not discoloration. )

Cap 69 – nicer, because no spine roll; two clean staples, page quality is OW-W; there’s a tear at the edge of one interior page which I’ve photographed for you.

Those are 2 really beautiful comics. Very Nice! I am not really a golden age collector myself but looking at them I would say the first is around a 4.0 , and # 69 is probably a 2.5 or a 3.0. Its just that page tear that condemns it. Plus it has the chip at the top and the cracks along the spine. The w/ow might help it plus it has little to no foxing. It possible the #60 could get a little higher that I said based on how tough cgc is with golden age. I meant the only real problem with #60 is the rust & staple tear. Hope that helps , good luck!
