WWII Golden age & an X-Men #94

27 posts in this topic

Hi all! I'm new to the boards and this is my first time selling anything here, so hopefully I'll get it right. I've read the guidelines so if I miss something, feel free to let me know.

I'm in the process of having a whole bunch of stuff CGC'd and would like to sell it, to at least partially help with a big life change (move & such). So I'll hopefully have some cool stuff here, Batman 11 & 20, a couple of nice keys.

Anyway, today it's 2 WWII Nazi cover books, a tough late 40's 'Tec and an X-Men # 94. Oh yeah - quick NOTE: X-men slab is a bit scratched up. WOULD NOT scan, not matter what I did. Resorted to some pix. I like scan better too, but...

If you are interested, please feel free to PM me or do the "I'll take it" thing. I'll change status immediately if one of these goes. PAYPAL or MO for payment please. I can ship anyway you want, like to do FedEx for tracking, etc, but USPS is good too.

Thanks so much for looking.

Now, as for said X-Men #94.

X-MEN #94 9.0. Yes, it's the "Modern" grade, that's how long I've had this one. Some color breaking spine ticks make me wonder what CPR can really do for this bad boy. Notice the upper Right corner - there is a scuff on the slab, it's not the corner of the book. I tried to get it in that last photo ****SOLD****

Human Torch #4(5) 3.5

A VERY nice 3.5! Early swastika Nazi Timely cover. Dinged because of a pretty bad spine roll, staple tear and a dust shadow along the top of the book. Very vivid colors, hot reds and yellows could without a doubt benefit from a cleaning. Don't see this one much...It's a very cool book - ****SOLD****

Superman #23 5.0

Another of my all time favorite war cover. The periscope cover. Another nice book - easy to see what kept it out of the 6's. A complete chip out of the top is the culprit. That and some spine creasing. Still, bold colors and it just doesn't come up everyday...******SOLD******

Detective Comics #141 6.5

Finally, a nice little Detective Comics if you're looking to get a mid grade issue during a tough run. Black and yellows on this cover really immaculate. Nearly all the problems are confined to the staples, which exhibit some pulling and a bit of tearing. ****SOLD*****

Again - any questions about any of the books, please don't hesitate.

Thanks all

Hi,

Do you have any references here? Do you have any eBay IDs? Any history of selling comics on eBay?

Thanks,

Andy

Hi Andy. I haven't done any business with anyone here so I don't have any references here. I have mostly bought through conventions in my life, but have done some Ebay buying and selling under quinnit. It's not all comics, and it stretches back a bit but it's an active account and you can feel free to check out my feedback.

Hope that helps. Thanks for looking. Take care.
