IRON MAN #54

12 posts in this topic

While looking through my box of "auction comics" I ran across this copy

of IRON MAN #54...there is a character in it named MADAME MACEVIL.

The last panel suggests her comeback and origin in a later issue...did this

ever happen?

Is that Gil Kane cover not a work of art that should be in the Louvre?! Two incredible figures, and dynamic water right out of a Japanese print! Loved it, bought it off the stand when I was a child, read it until the cover fell off, and bought a nicer copy when I was an adult.

Two characters that I don't like Kane drawing are Iron Man and Superman although I love Kane's art. Just a personal preference; however, with that said, I admit this cover is great.

Madame Macevil has to be one of the goofiest names to appear in a comic.
