Hey that's a great back cover!

 

I can't see much evidence of sub crease on the pics. What do you see? Is there a ridge in the middle? Also is Black Bolts shoe untied or is that a pen mark?

There does appear to long creasing through black bolts body - but the scan makes is hard to see - might just be reader creasing as most of my books with the subscription crease - is very pronounced. Also larger crease showing near gorgon's head.

 

tough call - as the BC and staples are so good - but if the "full page" sub crease is more pronounced in person, would guess 4 to 4.5

Mostly the creases and slight indentations on black bolt's body lead me to think sub crease I need to check on that "shoelace" tonite!

It may have been folded or bent at some point in time, but it doesn't appear to be a sub-crease. Sub-creases served a purpose: the books were folded in half and mailed in a brown-paper wrapper to subscription holders.
