This af 15 is not passing the sniff test

It's funny, I was the highest bidder just before the auction was pulled/canceled. They claimed they canceled the auction so that her husband can list it on his "well known" sellers account, as he will be listing more comics.

I just checked my ebay messages and there were 3 more from her/him/them. lol

This is what the last one said:

if you have any Questions feel free to contact me. 1 9565094829 - my name is Andy my wife said you was interested in my AF 15 comic

and why were you the highest bidder?

lol so they didnt think to post to holy grail, 5 figure book on the "well-know" account?

just through it up on the wife's account for and giggles?...

the stupidity hurts my brain.

I guess since its not a real book, all of that is irrelevant.

Already knew it was a scam from this thread, and thought I'd throw a BS bid. No biggie. It's not like I would send them any money for that thing

Um... wtf? Looks like her "husband" printed out a new label, and changed the serial number to one that corresponds to an actual af 15:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/AMAZING-FANTASY-15-CGC-4-0-VG-MARVEL-COMIC-1962-ORIGIN-1ST-SPIDER-MAN-/161423024972?&_trksid=p2056016.m2518.l4276

I found the actual AF 15 that corresponds to that serial number here:

http://comics.ha.com/itm/silver-age-1956-1969-/superhero/amazing-fantasy-15-marvel-1962-cgc-vg-40-off-white-pages/a/121226-13025.s#84248424492

And the poor thing took a hit in grade.

So many errors in the label. Their scam would work a lot better if they just forked out the money for an actual AF #15, cracked it, sent it in, and used the now old label in their scam.

Stupid scammers.

"And I would have gotten away with it, if it wasn't for you meddling kids!"

I couldnt help myself. I sent this to the scammers.

Looks like you guys took our advice and made a copy with an actual AF15 cert number.

That was a little smarter. Too bad its still an obvious fake and has been reported to ebay multiple times.

The actual book is also listed for sale... but you already knew that.
