Isn't the L just a distributor mark?

Could be. Could be a girl that owned it whose name began with the letter L. Ive seen the letter L on many golden age books. I think it means nothing in this case.

I think Mark Haspel is the CGC pedigree person, he helped me ID a Larsen.They have a list.

 

That is a WONDERFUL book Chris, I'm really happy you found it. I have had a few older books with that same "L" and the first time I was hoping it was a Larsen, but it was not.

 

Mark would know though
