10 Of The Most Offensive Superheroes In The History Of Comics

39 posts in this topic

This list is C$#^ And I'll tell you why.

Pie face/Tom Kalmaku and Ebony White aren't superheroes they're sidekicks at best.

And any list like this that doesn't have FAUST in it already doesn't know what they are talking about.

lol

Big Bertha

"Big Bertha returns to her supermodel form by throwing up all her extra weight. As opposed to the usual depression that accompanies bulimia, she’s often shown strolling out of the bathroom after a purge, wiping her mouth and smiling."

 I swear the Outrage Industry is going to keep picking away on comics until somethings blows like it has in gaming communities. :eyeroll:

The sad part is they shouldn't have to work that hard. Comics have always had it's quirky subversive side. You could spend a lifetime being offended by what's in comics, if that's your goal. Wertham drew that road map decades ago.

Dude, you should know better than to read these things! They're always the same and they never make you happy. :foryou:

It's easy for boardies to tear a list like this to pieces and know of much better examples. Too much knowledge here not to.

yeah. the media is just looking for someone to create a buzz - nothing more; nothing less...

and if you have to go back 70 years to find your number one what's the point?

Societies change in a just a few years. It's too easy to look back that far and say they were wrong. There was once a time when the media promoted that smoking was considered good for you. Will you ever see the media own up to that?

NOPE!

:D Hey, if they can blatantly retcon Superman into some 1917 russian revolution propaganda farmboy, complete with brogans and jean patches, apparently left his hammer and sickle at home, then they can just SHUT UP about everything else. lol

And then, and then they took his red outer-roos away. The basterds.

Many of the people who write for "Listverse" have agendas that they don't even attempt to hide, and frequently make glaring mistakes that are never corrected.

If one chooses to be offended, they will be.

The real key is to learn how to stop being offended.

apparently left his hammer and cycle at home,

Is he a bicycling carpenter..?

hm

Aw, give a bubba a break, will ya? Our world's being slowly retconned, man. :( I meant a hay makin' sickle.

But maybe a bicycle fall's how Supes got those knee patches. hm

People love to jump on the anti-Japanese stuff but they didn't live in those times-Japanese soldiers ate prisoners and civilians for one thing and this engendered a lot of negative feelings.
