It's a tough book to find. I finally found one for $15 at a local con earlier this year...was stoked. I suspect a lot of people might not know what it is.

The raffle edition, with the grid background? I have a copy with the original letter. Traded for it back in the day from the guy who won it.

 

I think the winner and the comic store he bought his comics from both got a copy if it, if I'm not mistaken.

 

Really good score if its nice condition and under $25, you cant go wrong.

I was just going through a box of Superman stuff where I came across a card set I had as a kid, Superman: The Man of Steel Platinum series. This awesome, 90 card set from 1994 summarized events in Superman comics from the Man of Steel miniseries until late 1994 with beautiful paintings form the likes of Dave Dorman and Tom Fleming. This card set is also outlined in shiny foil stamped boarders that resemble steel plates with and embossed Super S logo at the bottom.

Resurrection!

 

So this finally happened!

 

Superman: The Man of Steel Vol. 9, the conclusion of John Byrne's run. Volume 8 came out in 2014, volume 1 in 2004, it's been a long wait. I have most of the comics, but it's great have all of these collected and printed on nice paper.

 

 

Some other "Post-Crisis" Superman goodness has also been reprinted this year.
