VICTORIA PERMAKOFF… Victoria, when she was 8 years old, wrote the story, Cathleen and the Mystery Island, while her family were on a cruise in a Caribbean; though she wrote it without any help from her family. A little later, when we returned home, she added more text to it, for example, when her family got a cockatiel which they named "Silver", she made him one of the characters in her story. The story was almost lost when the family’s computer got a virus, but luckily, it was found almost a year later on a flash drive. Facebook helped push the project because each time she finished one page, her father was putting it on his timeline and his friends were reading and commenting on the posts. One friend asked her father if it can be used to help the City Island Yacht Club (CIYC), which was quite damaged by the Sandy, and this is how we got it published on Amazon as a charity book to help CIYC.
