California Comic Convention (CalComicCon) 2015

75 posts in this topic

why can't we have just one old school show?

I agree 100%, I'm not a huge fan of Cosplay and what it brings to a show/convention as far as people stopping suddenly for photo ops, swords and costumes recklessly swinging around hitting passing attendees, etc.

I went to the California Comic Con and it is a pure comic convention, perfect for collectors who look for comic books whether vintage or modern, graded or bargains there seemed to be something for everyone here and it's a great place to shop without the sideshows.

I hope they are doing the same for your show as well.

Can't wait. Got my boxes packed and a full wallet. I look forward to this show probably more than any other show. Anybody who lives in CA needs to be there. (It is even worth traveling to)

See you on Sunday Terry!

Left a little early,a recent injury was starting to get the better of me. I met some new boardies, and touched base with some of the greats here. Furbish man I probably want just about every Vampirella you have, give me a little time and we can make a deal. They were beautiful.

Tom I felt bad for leaving just as you arrived,we should get together at the Goat Hill Tavern in C.M.

I love talking to Tom,he's a very interesting person. I know he's got a book in him that's screaming to get out.(please see his excerpt in the book Tequila Tales).

It felt like we were in Goodfellas sitting around a table with Stevenrams,40YrsCollctingCmcs,BustedFlush and myself looking at awesome G.A. books. While everyone else was "standing in line" around us....

I didn't get to meet the robot man I've been hearing about though. hm

Roy and John were hot and heavy on the prowl for cool books. Roy did stop to talk for a moment, that NAM show IS awesome for sure. I really think Roy is one of the most level headed guys around, even though he's a hippy. lol:baiting::foryou:
