Whiz Comics #5

[Gotham Knight-migration]

I just found out that this issue has two different covers...

Is either one more difficult to find?

 

I couldn't find a decent explination anywhere as to why there were two versions, although from the sounds of it, they're two completely different comics...

I see it says 5 and 5b on that site but the one marked 5 has 4 printed on the cover.

Flash Comics and Thrill Comics were ashcans,so Whiz #2 was really the first issue, though it was only numbered as such on the inside. If you look at the scan, the third issue was numbered correctly on the cover , but inside it was numbered as #4. By the 5th issue Fawcett had corrected the numbering in the indica, leading some believe there are two issue 5s, but the what this website is calling the first issue 5 is actually issue 4.

ahh.. I thought that was a 4 on the one with Captain Marvel fighting the monster..
