Code Alterations Undone Art Day

I've just posted two Harvey pages (a Kirby and a Bob Powell) on CAF from pre-code stories that were altered to make them acceptable for post-code reprinting, though in this case they seem never to have been reprinted. The before and after is quite revealing about the considerable limits that were placed on comic artists with advent of the CCA. On the Boy's Ranch page, a character was not allowed to throw a rock at a guy trying to shoot him!

Right after I posted, my copy of the brand new "Art of the Simon & Kirby studio" arrived! It's great, and I see that many other pages from that story have similar edits.
