These are Canadian GA books. Active, Joke, Commando, Triumph, Wow, Dime were printed and distributed in Canada....other examples to follow....jon

This is the back cover of Joke....shows that it started about 1942.....I have a 14........All black & white inside,,,,,,some war themes....little ads....fan page are all canadian...jon

Your basic 39 cent annual...had six previous issues -with covers- bound together....

Jon, do you have any of the Canadian reprints of Atlas titles under a different name? - I remember seeing one with the Human Torch on the cover (taken from a splash I think), but a title that was never used in the states.

no i do not....have a canadian issue or two of Super Mystery and Venus back during the export paper wars.....

I do not know the value...but this is original Canadian material not reworked US stuff

The interesting thing about the Bell books are they are original Canadian material and not repackaged US material

Active Comics #1 - 28 b/w. Canadian Bell Features publisher, 1942? to 46. Scarce as mainly distributed in Canada during the WW II years.

I have a few early 50's Bell Features books that were Atlas reprints...if you like, I could scan and post them...
