Birds of Prey a good reading...?!

is this a good series?! i'm seriouslly thinking on buying the TPB's and offer them to my wife (she saw some covers/interiors and the main characters and they caught her eye...).

I had to suspend my comic book reading for about 16 months last year and only recently have started buying new books again. To date, I have not resumed Birds of Prey. However, before I stopped, it was one of my more enjoyable reads in the spandex group of comics (ie, superhero books). The characters are all a lot of fun and the obvious proximity to the other Batman books give this book a great deal of significance. Of the the Bat-books, I would rank it middle of the pack (which isn't a bad thing considering almost all the bat-books were good back when I went on hiatus).

I'm enjoying Birds of Prey, enought that I'm thinking of adding it to my saver.
