#2 Wendy, the Good Little Witch CGC Registry Set in Pedigree’s January Auction!

Our upcoming January Grand Auction will feature what is considered to be the world’s #1 CGC graded collection of Harvey Comics. The auction is Scheduled to begin on the night of Monday, January 26th and last for ten (10) days until the night of Thursday, February 5th as a separate event on the Pedigree Comics website (www.PedigreeComics.com). The first half of lots will end on the night of Wednesday, February 4th and the remaining half will end on the night of the 5th. There is no Buyers Premium on any of the lots in the auction and every item will have no reserve. Every book is CGC graded and there is no minimum bid for this special Harvey Comics Auction. Each week prior to the auction, Pedigree’s CEO and President, Doug Schmell, who obtained this massive collection of over 800 CGC graded books on consignment, will spotlight an important run from the collection. This week’s focus is on Wendy, the Good Little Witch. This is an amazing run of ultra high grade comics, with 91 out of a possible 97 issues (over 91% complete). It is the world’s #2 CGC Registry Set and is close on the heels of the #1 Set, trailing it by only 1,016 points as of this writing.

 

EVERY book (save for a few) is a Harvey Publications File Copy and almost all of the early issues (#1-#25) are the single highest certified or tied as the highest certified copy. Wendy, the Good Little Witch was first published in August, 1960 and lasted 82 issues until November, 1973. It started again with issue #83 in August, 1974 and lasted till issue #93 in April, 1976. Over 14 years later, the title continued with issue 394 (in September, 1990) and lasted 4 issues until December, 190, with #97.
