Approval Covers

Hi everyone,

 

I have a question about approval covers. I noticed a seller listing a bunch of them on ebay with a certificate each. As these are just covers, do they have a documented value and does CGC slab them as well?

looks to be just an artwork proof - I believe that CGC would slab- but only as a NG (no grade) - and they may or may not indicate the lineage --- or "Adler Collection" as in the example.

Yep, that is the same seller too. I was curious as he has covers from some books that I collect but I had not heard of approval covers before. Thanks!
