Happy New Year to all. My forum presence has been sparce of late so to make up for my lack of participation I am offering free shipping to all board members this week! Some really nice looking books up this week too!

Your John Carter, Warlord of Mars #18 auction has a mistake in the text. That book is Frank Miller's first MARVEL published art, not his first published art for any company whatsoever. His first published art for a comic company was a three-part story in Twilight Zone #84 (see below links). You might want to clarify this in your auction text.

Hmm...I went to revise it and FFB had placed a bid! Now I can't revise it once a bid has been placed. Hmmm.....I appreciate the bid but I don't want to be a well of disinformation. A quandry methinks I must dwell upon.

 

Don't worry about it. The Overstreet Price Guide has the correct text. Most likely your bidders already know about this if they are Frank Miller completionists.

I always thought that MJ and Rockwell were cousins or related? I remember the weird video because we did something like it in grammar school for music class. The assignment for assembly was called "Putting on the Kids" and it was a takeoff from a popular lip sync show at the time called Putting on the Hits where you had celebrity judges rate your performance (80's Karaoke?), well we just continued the ripoff theme and just copoied the video as close as we could foreheadslap.gif
