Fantastic Four 15 in 9.4, does this corner look right for that grade?

Just saw this one. Do people think a 9.4 should have a corner that looks like this? It is a small color break, but still a color break. Interested in hearing peoples thoughts

The rest of the book should be pretty nice, but it's not totally out of line for a 9.4. It only looks to be about a 1/4", and it's not CB all the way.

 

But...the rest of the book better be pretty flawless.

 

I've seen some unbelievable copies of teem FFs lately. Just mind blowing, when you consider how they are 1963 books.

if that's all she has, grade is deserved. the rest, as RMA mentioned, needs to be flawless.

I wouldn't want that corner crease on any CGC 9.4 book. Looks like there's some thin dust shadows on those edges as well. Perhaps the rest of the book is truly stunning...?

It might be it has a perfect spine… hard to tell from a single detail like that but I also think it might be allowed, although in abstraction from the overall picture can be misleading…

if the rest of the book was truly 9.6+, the dust shadows and the crease make it 9.0 tops for me.

I think the answer lies within the date the book was graded. During a soft CGC period I can see this getting a 9.4. I'm sure in hand it is less obvious than the close up scan. Personally, I think it should be limited to a 9.2 .
