Traveling from Pa to go to this. Went to buy $25.00 tickets on line.

Cart shows $32.60 with charges.

Think I can show up at the door and get a ticket? Hate to throw $15 away on processing fees.

Ticket price at the door is $30. So, you might as well spend the extra $2.60. But yeah, Ticketmaster is a ripoff.

It was pretty great. Went on Sunday, no line to get in at 10:30am, and stayed in the artist alley until maybe 3:30pm. Program with map was handed to you as you entered. Layout was simple, isles were wide, turnout seemed good and steady. Didn't go to any panels. Great environment in the casino convention room. Cool temperatures and zero humidity even though it was 90+ and muggy outside. Floors were carpeted so your feet/joints didn't take a pounding. Casino was loaded with a variety of restaurants so food was no problem. You also received $25 of free slot play if you registered for a "Momentum Card" at the con.

The lines for artists were short, but steady, unless your name was Ordway, Shooter or Simonson. All of which maintained a 10+ people queue. All were friendly and seemed pleased with the space/reception/business etc...

Got a sketch from Ordway and autographs from:

John Beatty ($3 per)

Jon Bogdanove

Mike Carlin

Jose Luis Garcia Lopez

Dan Jurgens

Tom Mandrake

Carl Potts

Jim Shooter

Louise Simonson

Walt Simonson

Jerry Ordway ($1 per)

Mike Zeck ($5 per)

Frankie B. Washington

Show exclusive comics were Star Trek/Green Lantern #1 (1000) for $10, Comixposure Amazing Spider-Man: Renew Your Vows #3 Blood Red for $30, Vampirella/Army of Darkness #1 (500?) for $5.

Picked up some bargain bin comics and an Iron Man #18 in FN before we left.

Got some fried clams for dinner at Summer Shack and a glazed donut from Krispy Kreme for desert. Blew that free $25 of slot play and deuced out.

I wanted to go for Roy Thomas.. Was he there?

How much did he charge for signing?

Roy Thomas was not scheduled for Sunday, the day I went, so I don't know.

I believe I overheard someone saying that he didn't charge, but was asking for donations to charity (Hero Initiative?)
