I had a couple grandnephews in my truck and they were perplexed on how to roll the passenger side window down.

They were looking for buttons, and didn't know what the window crank was for.

Always a rare pleasure seeing actual silver age books in new condition right off the stands!!!!

 

And always gut-wrenching to see actual newstand-fresh, silver age book being mishandled like they are 2015 modern drek.

In 1971 they were modern drek and I handled my books in 1971 as such. I also remember in 1971 Gene Shalit doing a piece on Spider-Man #96 on the Today show when it was first hitting the newsstands. Anyone remember that? I've tried to find it on YouTube and have goggled it but to no avail. It would be awesome to see it again.
