PGM : Fantastic Four #50 (Picture posted)

Front cover looks great, back cover has about an inch tear on the bottom to the left of the Aurora logo. The pages are off-white…almost creamish.

The FC looks like a FN book. The BC has some issues like tears, creasing and it looks there are 2 minor pieces missing. Overall my guess would be around 4.5.

 

Note: OGtGC states missing pieces are allowed for 4.5 or lower grades.

If that is a 2" tear on the LBC then I would say 5.0

If that was a clean edge tear only to the print I would be thinking 6.5 . As is I am leaning to a nicely presenting 5.0

As the previous owner of the book, I can tell the sizes of the missing pieces here is quite neglectable for the grade, as they are very tiny. Aside from the back cover tear, if I remember correctly the pages are Off-White but getting Cream just in the very lower part of the book – it presents well.

 

The seller from which I bought it (a reputable boardie) had it as a

 

VG-

 

but he is a very harsh grader and I consider this a greatly presenting VG+, maybe a bit better but the tear is there. :shrug:

Important to remember there are major differences between OPG and CGC grading.

Nothing higher than 4.5 IMHO. The tear keeps it from anything higher.

I'm guessing a 4.0 maybe 4.5 from CGC, but great eye-appeal. I'd prefer it to most 5.0s I've seen.

its tough to see until you expand the image. its just to big of a crease for me to go higher.
