Pedigree Comics’ Special Pedigree Avengers Grand auction is underway. The auction began on the night on Monday, March 9th and lasts for ten (10) days until the night of Thursday, March 19th as a separate event on the Pedigree Comics website (www.PedigreeComics.com). The first lot will end beginning at 7:28 P.M. EST (Amazing Adventures #1 9.4) and the last lot will end at 11:59 P.M. EST (X-Men Annual #4 9.2). There is no Buyers Premium on any of the lots in the auction and every item will have no reserve. Every book is CGC graded and there is no minimum bid for this special Pedigree Avengers Auction. The starting bid on each lot is only $1. You can view and bid on all 708 ultra high grade CGC certified comic books right now in the Auction Listing. The Pedigree Avengers run comes from a collection of over 600 ultra high grade CGC certified Marvels (all Silver and Bronze Age) that we recently obtained on consignment for the auction. Almost every book in the collection is a 9.4 and higher and most are 9.6 and higher. Besides the Avengers run, there are pedigree and non-pedigree issues from a myriad of titles including: Amazing Spider-Man, Daredevil, Captain Marvel, Captain Savage, Fantastic Four, Iron Man, Sgt. Fury, Tales to Astonish and a fabulous run of X-Men and Uncanny X-Men. There is also a major group of #1 Bronze Age issues, almost all in 9.4 to 9.8 grade, plus nice groups of Captain Marvel, Captain Savage, Tales to Astonish and Thor.

 

However, the absolute highlight of the collection is the Avengers run, which features almost every issue between #1 and #230 (only 16 issues missing) plus every Avengers Annual (save for #12) and almost every issue of Giant-Size Avengers. Two-Thirds of the Avengers run (over 150 issues and almost EVERY issue between #2 and #150) are from one nationally recognized pedigree collection or another, including Boston, Bowling Green, Curator, Don Rosa, Golden State, Green River, Massachusetts, Northland, Oakland, Ohio, Pacific Coast, Rocky Mountain, Savannah, Suscha News, Twin Cities, Western Penn, White Mountain and Winnipeg.

 

Here are just some of the highlights of the Pedigree Avengers Run, which includes a gorgeous copy of Avengers #1 in 9.4 with off-white to white pages (second highest certified behind only 4 in 9.6); the second highest graded copy of Avengers #2 (9.6 with off-white to white pages from the Massachusetts Collection), the second highest graded example of Avengers #3 (9.4 with white pages from the Jack Gin Collection) and the Ohio copy of Avengers #4 (a 9.6 with off-white to white pages), the second highest certified one behind only 3 in 9.8:

As you can imagine with this many pedigrees, most of the books have off-white to white or white pages with perfect registration and cover gloss. Overall, this is the greatest run of Avengers #1 through #230 (plus Annuals and Giant-Size issues) ever offered for public sale and the most near-complete Pedigree Avengers Run ever offered for sale. There are many great issues in the run to upgrade on lower certified copies or to fill holes in your want-lists.

 

With the Avengers: Age of Ultron motion picture scheduled for a release only a few months away (on May 1st) , this is a fantastic opportunity to buy these coveted issues before they rise dramatically in demand and value.
