Let me point to the New Kids on the Block Franchise - or the Expendables IDW comic mini-series.

 

Another great example are these hilarious books designed to make kids hate there parents published by PETA.

New Kids on the Block = music artists

Expendables = semi popular movie franchise based on the tough mercenaries and starring nearly all action heroes of the last 30 years .

PETA= it is not massed produced comic ( it is a pamphlet) and it has message ( albeit misguided.)

 

The Situation = talentless representative of the stupidest part of American society. No redeeming entertainment value.
