has anyone seen his recent art in ultimate x-men? what happened? it looks like [#@$%!!!] compared to his older stuff (his adventures of superman run for example)!!!

 

another one to add to the growing list of formerly great artists who's current work sucks frown.gif

I think his Ultimate X-Men work looks a lot better than the style he used on Ultimate Fantastic Four.

 

If you want to see Stuart at the top of his form, check out SUPERMAN: SECRET IDENTITY - a four-issue prestige format elseworlds that was recently collected in a single trade paperback. Written by Kurt Busiek it chronicles the life of a real world Superman - and was based initially on the 1980's "Superboy of Earth-Prime" concept. Stuart did everything himself on the art side and he did an exceptional job.

Reminds me of something Warren Ellis said at last year's DragonCon. Ellis thought he was churning out UFF issues at a pretty quick rate, but everytime he sent them off to Immonen, Immonen was ready and waiting with the previous issue already completed.
