Calvin & Hobbes comic strip sells for $2.25 on Ebay. Real or not?

I don't think that's Watterson. The faces look off and I don't remember every single Calvin & Hobbes strip but I don't recall him wrecking the car in that particular fashion. Also "demolischen"? I call shenanigans and $2.25 was too much to pay for this.

I saw that one. I'm not aware of any strips not inked by Bill

 

and if you look carefully, Bill was having a bad day and spelled his last name wrong when he drew that strip.

(shrug) The AV Club article makes it pretty clear this was a bogus piece. Not sure why anyone would even question whether it was real. Crappy forgery with misspellings galore, including the supposed artist's name pretty much makes this a non-story. imho
