New Marvel Titles in October

Hmmm...

Uncanny X-Men (not shocking. But an essentially all-villain team? Cool)

Extraordinary X-Men (interesting name)

All New X-Men (really? Again?)

Wolverine (with X-23. Not shocking)

Old Man Logan ongoing? (cool)

The Ultimates (that are all 616 characters. How did Galactus get an invite to be on essentially an Avengers team?)

The Illuminati (which is essentially the Cabal. Ok then)

Daredevil... but it's a Daredevil/Gambit team-up book? Interesting

So far, that's about all I'm interested in.

What else has Soule written that has turned you off so much?

Everybody knows my general dislike for what Marvel has been doing in years, but I have just purchased a bunch of issues of Inhuman and Inhumanity and although I have only browsed them, Soule seems an interesting and potentially good writer.

I don't think he's saying that Soule is bad, just that Soule has written the deaths of some major characters.

Warren Ellis and Gerardo Zaffino on Karnak.

Warren Ellis should be kept away, at a great distance, from any Marvel comic.

But this goes for a lot of other writers Alonso has chosen as well.

Why should Ellis be kept at great distance from Marvel?

:tonofbricks: I totally misunderstood that one then.

As I said, mostly not only Ellis by himself (which in the end is a writer doing whatever he wants without a care of the characters, as most of them do today). But Ellis on his part does not care at all.

I was mostly thinking about the time he was scheduled to write the Son of Satan anyway – well, they managed to ruin the character regardless.

Not totally. My comment was two-fold. Not my favorite writer, and I fear for Daredevils life lol

To be fair, Death of Wolverine was so terrible that one doesn't need to read more Soule to not be a fan.
