I need help on a defect...

Hello!

I need help on something here. I'd like to know how that kind of bend affects the condition of the book. If you start on a scale of 10 of course, what would be the drop?

The drop from 10 would probably be to around 5 grades to a 9.2. The drop from lower grade would be less. (e.g. 2 grades from 9.2 to 8.5).

 

EDIT: But it looks like it doesn't break color, so you could always try to get it pressed out.

unless i'm seeing this wrong....it doesn't look like anything major at all. An easy fix with a $8-$12 pressing job.

There are many people on the boards who press comics. The big two are probably CCS (part of CGC) and Joeypost .

If the crease breaks the color don't get it pressed. Its tough to tell with the plastic sleeve. Can you take another pic sans plastic?

Ok I may be tempted then.. it's just that I've no expereince at all with CGC..

Without seeing the whole comic I'd guess somewhere in the 9.0 range as is. A press could take it to 9.4/9.6 depending on the condition of the comic in the parts we can't see.
