My report: Is there Comic Con relief after a migraine?

Welcome to my first SDCC report. The report is picture heavy and it is from the point of view of a boardie who just suffered a migraine. It hit me Wednesday morning, so Preview night plans were very much in flux.

Didn't feel up to walking the dealer's room, so the wife and I headed into the Gaslamp district for dinner.

The young lady was playing a tune on the violin. The wife quickly noticed it was the Game of Thrones theme song. Me, I had no clue, as I don't watch the series.

Teenage girls doing some sort of cheer. I am not sure why, but after a minute or so, I became very annoyed. Decided to head into the convention center for a quick look, before heading back to the hotel.

Thursday morning still feeling zonked out, so I slept in and arrived at about noon. Found Lily Munster at the Hilton parking structure.

I am not sure who they are suppose to be, but they were pleasant.

There was a lot of activity and displays across the street from the convention center. A barber shop was set up and shaves were being offered.

I was still stuck in first gear, so I didn't feel buying books. The "group" wanted to see Walking dead and Game of Thrones on Friday in Hall H, so we decided to see how long the wrist band line was. At the point 2200 + people were already in line, and it was only 1:15 PM!

When I was in high scool this place played XXX movies. They've cleaned up the gaslamp nicely since. We also saw Rattle and hum ( U2 ) there.

The wife and I held our place in line until our "relief" party arrived at 3 PM. I decided to walk back to the car and retrieve an umbrella to provide a little shade. Along the way, I snapped these pics, as a ton of stuff was going on behind the convention center.

When I was heading to the car, a big crowd formed in front of me. I moved in closer and took this pic. I don't know who he is, but I was later informed that he had a role in Mad Men, among other things.

Our relief party arrived at about 3:30 PM, so I had a couple of hours to roam around. For those of you that complain that SDCC stinks, and tickets are difficult to get, that hotels are over priced and there are not enough comic book dealers and basically the Con is going to the dogs, well you might be right...

We had an early dinner Thursday night at the Gaslamp district and were heading back to the Hall H wrist band line. Saw this guy and a news crew. There were many news crews scattered throughout the vicinity.

Friday morning outside of Hall H. We were fortunate to get a wrist band.

In Hall H seated behind me was a little girl dressed as a storm trooper...
