Thrillbent Digital Comics? - Empire

Anyone given Thrillbent a try yet? I typically pass on digital comics (can't see paying $3.99 or more for a comic that I can't even touch), but one of my favorite all-time mini-series was a title called "Empire" done by Waid/Kitson back in 2000. I happened to stumble on Thrillbent and was elated to see that not only did they have a DRM-free PDF of the entire original series, but that Waid/Kitson have started a new chapter in the series (digital format only :( ).

 

From what I can tell, $3.99 a month gives access to all of that plus a couple of hundred other comics. I'm going to give it a try just because it's the only way I can read the next chapter of Empire, but just wondered if any other folks tried the site out and found it worthwhile?
