Island [Image Comics] -- Recurring magazine

Image Comics has a recurring magazine that will contain mostly comics. Some comics/stories will run in consecutive issues. Other stories will not continue until a later issue.

 

The reads in #1 were alright. It's too soon to judge on Emma Rios' bit.

What I liked loved was Kelly Sue DeConnick's short story, Rail Birds. It was in prose & incredibly well written.

 

Island #2 will have Simon Roy (new story), Emma Rios (continuation from #1 I guess) and Ludroe (continuation from #1 I guess).

Kelly Sue's story was the best part. I was utterly unimpressed with everything else, but I'm not a Brandon Graham fan so take my opinion with a grain of salt. I respect what he does, just not my cup of tea. Curios to see if the price point holds or if that was just a first issue price.
