What's the best Marvel Civil War comic to grab?

9 posts in this topic

I have been looking at catching up on the civil war era of marvel and want to purchase the issue that will have the most value in case I plan to sell it in the future. I see there are a lot of issues that say issue 1 but have a different cover. So I am uncertain which is the best one to own for my money.

I'm a fan of the iron spidey turner covers. sketch or color. Probably grab both to be safe.

But your question probably needs to be more specific. Are you looking for something that will increase in value? Or something that will just be worth a lot (which might already cost a lot)? or the best read? the best cover?

I think issue #2 has the most potential due to its historical significance without the need of a movie to make it worth buying. A lot of people collect #1's so its almost always a safe bet. Turner was special so like someone else mentioned, his stuff will always be desirable imo.

The more obscure Aspen Store exclusive variant for Civil War 1 is a personal favorite cover. And while it's not THE most valuable of the civil war variants or covers, I just love the cover.
