I don't have any album art mostly concert poster art. To of my favorites are

Rolling Stones 1969 Let It Bleed Tour Poster pencil prelim by David Bird

Cream Saville Theatre poster 7/2/67 by Bob Masse

This is the prelim for the Pink Floyd "Backs" Poster 1995 by Finlay Cowan

Finlay Cowan and Storm Thorgerson came up with the concept (back catalogue should be literally "the catalogue on the backs"), Finlay did this prelim and photographed by Tony May. Its BIG, 30"x50", and on the back are a bunch of notes and sketches showing the artist's thought process.

'Atom Heart Mother', 'Relics', 'Dark Side of the Moon', 'Wish You Were Here', 'The Wall' and 'Animals'

Final photograph. I understand it took an artist 6 hours to paint each of the women.

great article on it

The real story is he only needed 30 minutes to paint each woman, but he took his sweet time :insane:

I prefer the astonishing science fiction cover. The difference is the scifi cover the robot is looking to save the guy. On the Queen cover the robot is attacking people. expression works best with the astonishing cover.

I've always liked the Electric Frankenstein artwork. Tough to find the CD covers, but the handbill poster art comes up from time to time. If it's not too expensive, I snag it. EF is a punk band that has great aesthetics. They've "borrowed" from Famous Monsters, EC, all sorts of horror pop culture references. And usually, the Bride is hot. I'll leave it at that.

I don't really have music-related art that I own, but I did draw some in the comic size 11 x 17 paper.

Here's my favorite band U2 using markers. I gifted this to a fellow U2 fan in our country.

Here's something I did for my nephew who is a fan of The Killers and these are images from their music video Miss Atomic Bomb:

I have a second printing of that Jimi Hendrix poster by Griffin and about a half dozen other Fillmore posters that are all first prints plus a dozen postcards and even a half dozen or more of the tickets which reprint the posters. My brother in law is the big poster collector in the family and has 3 or 4 dozen fillmore/Avalon and other 60's posters and has at least a dozen framed on his wall all over his house. He also has two originals of posters he owns and a great Griffin prelim for the Grateful Dead's southern tour shirts-which are now officially "not PC" because they feature a confederate flag.

I LOVE Rick Griffin's work and have 3 or 4 preliminary pieces by him, but none are scanned.

Just above the star that covers her nipple it says Amorica. Poster was part of the tour to promote their album Amorica, features a woman's crotch wearing a United States flag thong with pubic hair sticking out. (pissed off a bunch of people)

just googled the album cover.. I like it. Hard to go wrong with cameltoe :preach:

Here is one music piece I already have posted. Being a Deadhead, I have always looked for cool Grateful Dead art and they were at the forefront of creating an iconography for their band (which has probably helped their bottom line on merchandising, but has spawned a huge world of bootleg merch as well) These two pieces by Tim Truman are from The Grateful Dead Almanac. They published it for quite a while-even a few years after Jerry Garcia died, but then put it on line.

This one is another piece by Tim for a CD back cover from a Grateful Dead New Years concert from 1973

Hey Now!

Awesome pieces you have there. The one I was looking for was a Truman piece. I will try to remember to get a photo up soon.
