Anyone surprised that this 2.0 PLOD has already cracked $300? Somebody must really want it...makes me feel that much better about the unrestored 3.5 I snagged on c-link last year.

Especially when your looking at a 2.0 - I imagine at that grade such minor resto. would have little or no impact on price.

right, it's probably still a 2.0 even if the splt wasn't sealed, so why should that sort of resto reduce the price?

 

in general, there are deals to be had out there with the "i'll never buy a restored book" attitude among so many collectors. it really depends on what type of resto we're talking about and whether it even raised the "apparent" grade of the book at all. there's a lot of wiggle room in 2.0 - 3.0 GA books and some minor resto may not even raise the grade.

If I were able, I'd bid on that sucker myself. But I'm trying to put money away for a book I really want.
