My 2c is that Action 7 is far more desirable than Tec 29. Not only is it a 1938 book, the first year of super hero infancy, but it's also perhaps the most quintessential Superman cover next to Action 1. With the Tecs you have a choice between the 29,31,33,35...all great covers, but Superman was short changed in the cover department so a cover like Action 7 pretty much stands alone. There is Action 10 and 13 but they are not full size poses like Action 7 and they are later in the run. So, for all kinds of reasons including it being the first mention of Superman on a cover, Action 7 is it...that is, if you're a Superman fan of course.

Agreed. I bought my copy in 1999 from Tropic Comics. Kept it even though it had brittle pages because the cover made me weak in the knees. Thankfully I was able to find a decent coverless and swapped out the brittle interior.

I like the cover to 10 more than 7, but they are both nice covers, more interesting than the next few to my eyes. I was never a big Superman fan though and my favorite Early Action cover is #2. I don't collect any Superhero golden age, but the early Batman Tecs get me more excited than the Actions. Maybe if I were more of a Superman fan I'd appreciate the importance of the book more.

So we have Actions at 3 that are better and Tecs at 1.

I give you that. I have a copy of Action 15 8.5 unrestored and i would take a Tec 35 over it for sure.
