Atlanta Shows?

30 posts in this topic

There is a decent show put on by the people at http://www.atlantacomicconvention.com/ .The next one is April 10 (there usually one every 3 months). Its a one day show, but it usually has a decent amount of dealers with quality stuff. The annual Atlanta ComicCon is typically in April too, but this year I think it was put off in order to regroup for next year. Its website is http://www.atlantacomicon.com/. If anybody has any more info on the atlanta comicon, please post it here. I hope that helps!

i think atlanta comic con is no more The one day shows run by Wes Tillander are very good for one day shows. You could try Dragon Con on Labor Day weekend as well

The website says Atlanta Comic Con is April 16-17. Is this the one that has been "cancelled?"

Glad someone posted the 1 day show...one of my favorite shows and I just couldnt remember the name of it. I will be there for sure. As for the comicon...well I went last year and was not that impressed with it. Lots of stuff, but I didnt buy anything. Toys, bootleg dvds, porn, and then comics...I'll take my 1 day show especially since it is right down the road from home and work....holla..

In Charlotte there is the Hero's convention in June. Also, there is a 1 day show every 3 months that is usually very good called the Charlotte Comicon. Usually a very good turnout and good selection with silver/bronze/modern from low grade to high grade. Ive never went when i didnt spend all the money that I had.

Didn't realize we had some GA boys in here. Stop by the booth for a free copy of Wild Dog #2 (I can sign it for you too). Next one is April 10th

Atlanta Comic Con is cancelled for good. Wes's shows are really put together well and everything is represented from 50 cent stuff all the way up to Chris Foss golden age books. I'm usually set up next to Wes on the far wall.

As far as other shows across the southeast, here is what I know about

Wes atlanta show 3-4 times a year

Charlotte "mini" show 3-4 times a year

Nashville - 1 big one and 2-3 smaller ones

Greenville, SC - 3-4 "super mini" shows"

Columbia, SC - 1-2 times a year

Bigger shows

Heroes - Charlotte

Mega Con - Orlando

Atlanta Comic Con - CANCELLED

just marked my calendar...looks like a good weekend for my. Braves home opener, G-day game, and then a nice little comic show to round things out...not a bad weekend..

Don't go to the concessions at Turner on opening day... I went to opening day there in 2002 and missed 4 or 5 innings while waiting for a hotdog. Christo_pull_hair.gif

I'm not in the area just yet, but will probably be moving out that way in July or August.

Where you moving to? There's usually a show towards the end of August.

And 4-5 innings.... Come on..... I've been to the last 5 opening days and have never had to wait that long for anything.

Yeah I normally grab a bite before the game, grab a sack of boiled peanuts and a huge beer once I get in the game. Then I sit back and enjoy yet another opening night. I normally try and keep score and whatnot showing the FI the finer points of the game....oh and there are hardly ever lines in the lexus level. Dont worry we normally get free lexus level tickets through my FI's work..Bad part is that I think that she might be taking another job before then. I dont know if I could go from the lexus level to sitting with the commoners...

Oh well. I am always gung-ho and catch several games in the first homestand and then sort of stop going till the end of the season..

More than likely, Auburn, AL. Not too far from ATL, about 1 1/2 to 2 hours.

Heroes Convention in Charlotte or BUST

I hear CGC may be attending for on site grading this year... gossip.gif

Now that is interesting...if cgc was there I might actually submit something for onsite grading. I dont think that I could submit any other way and wait. 893scratchchin-thumb.gifm...maybe a road trip is in order..
