Another day, another AF 15 "deal"

Now this same seller just happens to have an FF #1 which sold on heritage and he states in big red letters that he is "accepting offers" - as in, please buy it outside ebay's buyer protection.

Here's the photo on heritage:

These listings are still up. Reported.

Paid $4500.00 for the book with my CC - calculated risk. Unbeknownst to the seller, he offered the book to a friend of mine as well after I had already paid - and he was totally unaware that we were texting each other - and that he was caught in the lie. He tried to go the "friends and family" route by saying there's a problem with his account. Refunded quickly.

Just so we're clear, the two posts you quote are not in reference to the same seller. When I said "same seller" I was referring to the seller that october was referring to in the 4th post of this thread.

Yes, one of the same sellers - "chasing-classics". I purchased the FF1 earlier tonight (and was refunded when they were confronted by the notion that they had also offered the book to my friend after I had paid). In fact, they still have the listing up.

Seriously, how many of these does he have to pull before ebay does something? At what point does ebay become liable? They can't plead ignorance at this point.

chasing-classics also decided to open an account here and made one post.

A hulk 181 cgc 7.5 for $1400.... same book was being sold on facebook for $2k (overpriced).

Anyway, I spoke with the seller on facebook who assured his book was not for sale on the forums.
