Does CGC mark considerably for toned covers?

There was a FF 46 in the last grading contest that had a little more wear and similar tanning. I believe it received a 6.0. That's why I went 6.5. If you send it in let us know. I'd be curious.

I'll guess 6.0, but with that halo, it's a crapshoot. I too would be curious to see what it would come back at.

Here is a copy that helped me decide to roll the dice and purchase the comic. It is being sold through High Grade Comics.

 

In my opinion, with the exception of the bottom left corner ding, the book looks better than this 9.2.

I agree with you - I was thinking 8.0-ish based on these scans.

I also took into consideration the blunted bottom corner, the small crease (bottom left BC) and the dust shadowing
