Grade it just like you'd judge a SA book.

Pretty much, though late 40s Fox books in particular have low to no gloss, so lack of gloss is not factored, nor are minor splotches due to missing or splattered ink in the printing process. In addition poor registration on interior pages is not uncommon, and while this book seems to avoid it, Fox books can have pinking on the cover due to bleed through from magenta inks on the inside cover. I find this last flaw pretty distracting, but most don't hit the grade for it. Finally Fox often used discounted newsprint, and the interior pages sometimes have a grey or even pinkish caste to them.

I was thinking maybe 6.0 on the high side I've seen it in person but the little flaws you can see in the pics are the "major" issues so I wasn't sure if that would bump it down. I met the seller in person a couple months back but she wanted way too much based on what a LCS owner told her but now she's in my wheelhouse guessing I was her best nibble. I'm thinking of buying outright but it'd be for resale as I just don't desire to own this book personally as beautiful as it is...

If the top corner and the back cover tear you show are the major problems with the book, then 6.0 is quite possible. It depends somewhat on how rusty is the staple, as the picture is fuzzy, but appears to show slight transfer on the CF.
