I was showing this book to a fellow board member and he said that it looks to have been color touched. I wanted to get some second opinions. So as not to taint the pool, I’m not saying where he thinks the CT is present. I’ll probably get out the black light to double check here in a bit.

My sister sent me this pic this morning and I thought I’d share it with you. My nephew is on the left and there I am on the right with my Strawberry Shortcake doll. Animation cels. From my understanding the backgrounds on the MOTU featuring Man-At-Arms and Orko and the one featuring Beastman and Evil Lyn are reproduction backgrounds. Stratos and Ram Man is an original production background. I also believe each character may be its own cel. I’m not sure if value is impacted by handling these so I haven’t taken them out of the bags. Comparable prices on eBay are a little hard to sort out so I’ll just throw this out here… TMNT $50 Ram Man and Stratos $120 Evil Lyn and Beast Man $100 Man-At-Arms and Orko $100 Whole Lot of four $300.

Marvel Graphic Novel lot. I believe all are first prints. I didn’t see anything on the interior publisher info to tell me otherwise. $200 OBO for the lot. All are in pretty great shape, I noticed some minor dings (perhaps from finger nail indentations) in some of the covers.

I told my wife to sell it all to the first person that makes her an offer. The life insurance can save her the headache of dealing with it. :-)

The number one thing that works to my advantage when buying a collection is that most people don't care about the value necessarily. They just want to reclaim the space. They like the idea of a dealer buying it to resell so that it can end up with other collectors. Not everyone wants to make it a part time job to liquidate their collection...and honestly I don't blame them. If selling collectibles doesn't bring you joy and it's not your primary income, then why spend time doing it?

There is definitely some wiggle room on price if you want to make an offer. I know that I priced them aggressively in the top of the range for each book, but I'm just trying to drum up as much as I can for his wife and kids. However, I'd rather not miss the opportunity to sell if someone likes the books, but one or both is just a little higher than what they're willing to pay. Estimating 3.5 grade on this first Swamp Thing. Obvious cover wear some staining evident on interior cover. Pages appear structurally sound. Asking Price $1,000 SOLD!

My nephew was nine months younger than me and we basically grew up like brothers. We even shared a bedroom growing up and we both read comics during the early 90s. He was super into The Punisher because The Punisher dealt with real bad guys and not some super powered guy. While I was always more into Spider-Man, so it made for some interesting discussions late at night. He was my first best friend and our family lost him a few days ago in a single car accident. The roads were wet and it was raining and it's thought that he hydroplaned and lost control of the vehicle and hit a pole. He left behind his wife and three minor children. I have started a GoFundMe which will be linked at the bottom, but also wanted to offer a couple of comics for sale here with all funds going to his wife and children as I remember how when I raised money for the victims of the Aurora, Colorado shooting in 2012, and the tornado relief in Oklahoma in 2013, how generous this community was during those difficult times. My nephew was one of the biggest volunteers in the aftermath of that tornado that I knew. He volunteered early and kept going out there to help clean up and distribute supplies for weeks afterwards until he was no longer needed. He felt like it was a calling upon him to do something that was good and helpful. Now, I too feel the need to do something that's good and helpful and so here I am doing what I know how to do, which is sell collectibles. in the thread wins, but I am open to offers via PM if you think that my price is a bit high. Any claim in the thread will trump any ongoing private negotiations. Prices will include shipment and insurance within the US (and likely everywhere else, just let me double check prices) I will not be accepting returns on these items as I stated that the money will not be kept by me, so please be sure that you want the items before you purchase and ask me any questions that you have. Are benefit sales threads still a thing? I don’t post here nearly as often as I used to, so I’m not sure if people still do those. We had a loss in the family a few days ago and I’ve set up a gofundme for his wife and children, but I was thinking maybe I could generate some cash for it with a thread in the sales forums. I have a few items I can sell and maybe others might want to pitch in. I’m rambling a bit, sorry I’m just trying to do things that matter.
