Tape vs glue

Sorry if this has been discussed elsewhere. I understand CGC doesn't consider tape a restoration, but what is the opinion of archival glue on the spine? I have a book that has the entire spine taped and I would like to remove the tape for aesthetic reasons.

I think archival glue would get a conserved label.

I think archival glue would get a conserved label.

I'm sure it would also it gets a blue if it's only slight sometimes
