FYI, I know that 1990 to 1999 isn't all considered Copper, but the majority of books listed here are almost 25 years old. Calling them "Modern" like the books that came out this week would probably be worse.

I'm not surprised to see all the "death" of Superman related books in the DC section. What did surprise me was seeing Batman: Sword of Azrael #1, I thought Azrael wasn't popular.

I think a lot of books that are submitted often from the early 1990s are the books that were "once hot".

 

Even selling them for $35 to $50 as CGC 9.8, dealers with lots of extra inventory might net $5 to $20 each after CGC grading fees, etc., for books that were once hot.

 

Those same books might not sell for $2 in the back issue bins. Making an extra $3 doesn't mean much, but if you've got dozens of copies... that could become extra hundreds of dollars.
