Hey kids! A little Marie Severin - Bill Everett game!

Posting this in the silver age forum, though it's borderline.

 

I noticed an interesting little signature on a comic cover recently for sale here on the boards. Checked over at the Grand Comics Database, and found out that two Marvel greats, Marie Severin (pencils) and Bill Everett (inks), collaborated on just a few early-1970 covers. And their signature logo was "7ev" which would read as "Seven-Ev", that is (I like to think), "Sev and Ev."

 

Pretty clever -- and even more clever is how they hid this sig within the background art of the cover. I think there are only ten or so issues that were signed this way.

 

Find 'em! Post 'em! You know you've got nothing better to do!

Edit: Not "a comic cover recently for sale" but merely "the cover of a comic recently for sale. . ." Sorry about that.
