Please grade my Tomb of Dracula 1

25 posts in this topic

Here is my TOD 1. I got it from Bedrock City, and at the time I thought they had undergraded it. The defect in the top left corner is a crease, not a tear. Please note the very light, almost invisible foxing in the middle of the front cover. The two spots of foxing on the back spine are only look half as bad in person...the scan emphasizes them for some reason. Any opinions?

well if those are really stains and not foxing, it would grade a 6.5-7.0. 893scratchchin-thumb.gif

They are NOT foxing, Guv, gossip.gif

It is foxing. There are signs of it elsewhere on the comic that don't show up in the scans. The two spots on the back cover look different in-hand, not nearly as pronounced and certainly not stains.

Well, I know the suspense is killing all of you. Bedrock had it at 7.0, so Divad was closest. I personally would have put it at 7.5 or 8.0 (which is why I bought it). In any case, it has nice appeal and good colors regardless of the technical grade.
